A recently installed metal facade covers the front of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. It attracts 300,000 visitors per year, many of them in school groups. Artifacts on display include young Anne's handwritten diaries that have been translated into 64 languages. Anne, her sister, their parents and four others hid in a secret annex to the building that also housed Otto Frank's business. The eight Jews hid in the secret home for two years until they were betrayed to the Nazis in 1944. Only Anne's father survived the forced deportation to the death camps.
